Objectives & Expected Level Of Play By BASEBALL Division

T-Ball Baseball

The T-Ball division comprises of players league ages 4-6. Players are assigned to teams by the Player Agent. No minimum or maximum number of players per team. This level is for players to learn the fundamentals of hitting & fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. The primary goals of tee ball are to have fun, to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and softball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork.

BATTING ORDER: A continuous batting order will be used. After completion of the batting order, the other team shall come off the field and take their turn at bat. The coach must announce last batter and the last hitter will continue around the bases until they are across home plate. (There are no outs at this level.) If a catcher is used they must wear appropriate gear.

TIME LIMIT: T-Ball games are limited to (1) hour or (3) innings; whichever is first.

GENERAL RULES: All A-MINORS rules apply where applicable.

A-Minors Baseball

A-Minors shall consist of players league age seven (7) or eight (8), with the following
exceptions: players league age (5 or 6), who have played at least one (1) year of T-Ball, may play
A-Minors at the request of the parent; players with no previous baseball experience may play
in the A-Minors Division under special circumstances and with the request of a parent. Player
Agent will make placement decision. These requests will only be accepted at the time of registration and will not be granted after the teams are created. All players are assigned to teams by the Player Agent. Minimum number of players per team is 8 with maximum being 12 unless board approves an increase or decrease.

A-Minors will be played as a standard at-bat as defined in regular Little League Rules.

TIME LIMIT: After (1&½) hours of play, no new inning shall be started.

COACH/PLAYER PITCH: If a player is pitching. 5 and 6 year olds are not allowed to pitch. 7 and 8 year olds can throw up to 50 pitches in a game; Coach Pitch or Player Pitching is mandatory for all games. If the coach is pitching the batter will only get (6) good pitches before they should be called out. The batting teams coach will pitch to their team and shall act as umpire. When pitching coaches will use a mechanical pitching machine when possible. Coaches are not allowed to act as catcher it must be a player in full catchers gear.

PITCHER POSITION: During games, the player at the pitcher position will stand on
either side of the coach pitching, behind a designated line to be drawn before the game. When a player is pitching they may pitch from the front of the pitching mound.

BATTING ORDER: Rule 2.00 A continuous batting order will be used. Rule 5.07 The side is retired when 3 offensive players are legally put out, called out by an umpire, or when all players on the roster have batted one time in the half-inning, or when the offensive team scores 5 runs. AA- Minors Baseball

COACH PITCH: coaches get 5 “good” pitches 8 max. A coach can not in any circumstances walk a batter. If a player does not get a hit, the batter is out.

PLAYER PITCH: players pitch by the normal rules of baseball: 4 balls and 3 strikes. The coach will call balls and strikes from behind the mound. If a player throws 4 balls, the batting team’s manager will throw pitches (See Coach pitch rule above). Our goal is to teach the kids to hit the baseball. As they get older, they will learn how to take pitches and learn to “walk”.

TIME LIMIT: After (1&½) hours of play, no new inning shall be started: regardless of a tie. A new inning starts immediately after the last out of the current inning is declared [i.e. The game starts at 10:00 a.m.; at 11:27 a.m. the 3rd out of the 4th inning occurs; the 5th (and final) inning begins at that time (11:27 a.m.)]. The official scorekeeper will keep time; official time will start when the 1st pitch is thrown.

AA-Minors will adhere to AAA-Minors rules. However, AA will not be allowed to advance on passed balls. No stealing will be allowed in AA-Minors.
